Problem

solution

If the food processor becomes hot during use:Heavy loads should not exceed speed 2. Under heavy loads with longer mixing times, you may not be able to comfortably touch the top of the device. This is normal.
The food processor emits a pungent odor:This is common with electric motors, especially when they are new.
When the beater hits the bowl:Stop the blender. Refer to the Agitator to Bowl Clearance section and adjust the agitator to bowl clearance.
If your blender is not working, check the following:Is the blender connected?
Is the fuse in the food processor circuit OK? If you have a fuse box, make sure the circuit is closed.
Turn the blender off for 10 to 15 seconds and then turn it back on. If the mixer still does not start, allow it to cool for 30 minutes before turning it back on.
If the problem cannot be resolved:See the “KitchenAid Warranty Terms and Conditions (“Warranty”) section.
Do not return the food processor to the retailer; Retailers don't offer a service.
